The Hits and The Rarities

A lot of people have asked if we can sell the mixtapes off tour as well, cus you missed the gig or we’re not coming to your city in a while. Drop us a mail and we’ll give you some instructions on how we can do it.

I found this clip on youtube from our gig in münster a while ago. The quality is not great, but it’s kinda funny — and the crowd is fucking crazy!

wien & paris!

Posted by Supreme on June 28th, 2008

The Diversidad thing at WUK was cool, but the weather in Wien was way too hot! A lot of people came out (the place was packed) and even though the limiters in the venue seemed to be calibrated wrong in some way (the sound was really low..) we had a good time on stage.

Last night we performed at Le Zenith, a biiiiiiiiig venue in Paris, at one of the shows included in the Paris Hip Hop Festival. We had no time for soundcheck, but I think the whole thing turned out good for us.. Introducing the sounds of LTR to a new crowd! Taking over the world baby — slowly but surely.
We hung out with Leeroy from Saïan Supa Crew, who came out to see us with his partner Tonyox. Later on that night I met up with our good friend Fred who took me for a ride thru night-time Paris on his scooter, and we had a few drinks in Belleville.

Right now we’re on the train to Borlänge, we’re doing a show tonight at the Peace&Love Festival.

Big up to George at Borderblaster! Peace / Supreme LTR

FRA

Posted by Promoe on June 26th, 2008

Many people have, rightfully so, commented the new Swedish FRA law which entitles the Swedish authorities to monitor the citizens’ emails etc. We have made a lot of songs about this phenomena, although not one about this specific law. Rest assured that it will give us fuel for more anti government, anti bureaucracy and anti surveillance songs though! In the meantime check this short film that our good friends Simon Klose (Standard Bearer and Long Arm of the Law etc) and Ola Kalnins made about the FRA law:

reykjavik gets rowdy!

Posted by Supreme on June 17th, 2008

Reykjavik is always a great place for us, and this time was no different!Even though the airline lost ALL our backline (no microphones, no in-ear, no drum-machine..) we still managed to do two good shows.

The first show was for the younger crowd and the second one was 20+. The early gig was cool (thanks to everybody who came out to see us!) and the late show was packed! The crowd were really into the show, but the security was a big problem.. Or the lack of security! Thank you for being such an hyper crowd, but it’s hard to perform when you see people in the front get hurt. Specially when there’s girls getting crushed into the fence. The venue needs to look into their security situation!

Big ups to Rob for bringing us out, and thank you everyone who’s supporting us in the beautiful city of Reykjavik! I hope we’ll be back soon!

västerås, hultsfred, münster!

Posted by Supreme on June 16th, 2008

Last week we all met up in Västerås. My mom threw a BBQ party at her house before the show at “Mälarveckorna” and family and friends were invited. Afasi & Filthy from Uppsala came by with their band (they performed the same evening) and both my grandmother and Buster Boss Jr got to hang out with the extended fam.

Timbuktu joined us on tour this week (he needed some days out of the studio!) and the V-ås show was good, but it seemed like the sound was too low. (restrictions, restrictions..) The crowd was a little too laid back! We need more fire! But it felt really nice to be home and meeting everyone.. After seeing Afasi & Filthy rock the crowd at the other stage, we jumped on the nightliner, heading for the Hultsfred festival. To our surprise we convinced one of our old friends Daniel “The C” Olsson to go with us! He just stopped by the BBQ after work earlier that day, and now he was part of the tour. Great news! I stayed up listening to some demos from the upcoming Timbuk album, and Jay loved my constructive criticism! Ha ha..
The weather was ok in Hultsfred and we had kind of a hectic press-day. Six hours of interviews. Phuu.. But the show was really good and we didn’t feel the usual “festival-stress” with the strict time limits. Perfect set-list! The afterparty in the backstage area was better than usual this year. Martin Ringstrand from Stockholm Beat Connection was spinning records and me and Timbuk helped him out. Big up Wikström and Do It! My ears are still hurting from the volume in the DJ booth! Voll Gas!

We woke up at Arlanda airport and flew to Germany, to perform at the Skaters Palace in Münster. We were all pretty tired, but that show was just crazy! People crowd-surfing and the energy was super dope! Thanks to Karin at Subotage for driving us! And thanks to Jay for all the support!

Yesterday we got home at 23.00 from Kastrup airport, just to be back again this morning. Tonight we’re doing two shows in Reykjavik, Iceland. I’m writing this on the flight, and I hope were there soon!

Peace / Supreme LTR

One of Sweden’s most gifted musicians tragically passed away yesterday. Esbjörn Svensson has been a huge inspiration to me and it came as an absolute shock when I got the news today. All our thoughts goes to his family.
