I made a song called ‘Ya Slippin’, as a teacher in a hiphop school. The students’ assignment was to make a song that could have been on, for example, Nas’ Illmatic or any of the legendary hiphop albums through the years. They were to study the styles and, not copy, but more to make something in that spirit. I tried myself, together with Astma who produced it – with EPMD’s Strictly Business – and this is the result. It was a tough assignment, and I don’t think this song sounds like it could’ve been on that album – but it gave me inspiration anyway. Note: THIS IS NOT THE SONG OF THE MONTH! That song has been a bit delayed and will be released mid April or so – I hope this will do till then.

New Songs/Canciones nuevos!
We’re back from vacation, and now it’s business as usual. Here’s my first ever song in Spanish – recorded with Komodo and Damesaik in a school where I was teaching rap. But these guys were teaching me Spanish in return… It’s called Porqué Rapeo, which means: Why do I rap? You can download it here, or check it on myspace where I also put a song I did with Essential I – from his new album FreeDem SoulJah. More shit coming up tomorrow!
