Tour Recap

W’sup folks!?  We’re on the last leg of the touring before we get almost 2 weeks vacation – and then we’ll come back fresher than fresh. I gotta admit that these last weeks have been too hectic. Too much traveling, and too many nights with not enough sleep. It’s hard to keep a balance between what you want to do (and have to – to survive economically), and what the body can take.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to Stockholm tonight, Norway and Stuttgart – and most of all Poland on Sunday. It’s the only show in Poland that we have planned so far and I can’t wait to meet the people there. We always have great shows there!

Here are a couple of Kodak moments from our travels the last  weeks:

Ok, that one was from May – but I had forgotten to post it. Looptroop, big in Karlstad!

These people look real scary, like they’re in a sect or something. I hope it’s not the Vegan Sect and that they’re coming to get me soon…

Sometimes you really gotta go…

I’ve never seen this kind of (Norwegian) hand dryer before, and I wasn’t about to use it. That shit looks like it might suck you down and spit you out like a sausage or something.

That’s our sound engineer Vladi, getting his swagger on.

Dos and Don’ts

Today I sent off the first batch of ‘The Hits’ and ‘The Rarities’ – I hope they will reach you fast!

Just think about this: if you send us a small envelope of thin paper, how do you figure we’ll fit the cd’s in them? And do you think that the cd’s will reach you in one piece? The pedagogue that I am, I will illustrate this with two pictures. One is correct, the other is wrong! Haha, peace!

FRA

Many people have, rightfully so, commented the new Swedish FRA law which entitles the Swedish authorities to monitor the citizens’ emails etc. We have made a lot of songs about this phenomena, although not one about this specific law. Rest assured that it will give us fuel for more anti government, anti bureaucracy and anti surveillance songs though! In the meantime check this short film that our good friends Simon Klose (Standard Bearer and Long Arm of the Law etc) and Ola Kalnins made about the FRA law:

2 New Releases – The Hits and The Rarities!

Last week in Norway we started selling these new cd’s that we have put together to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of DVSG. ‘The Hits’ contains 18 classic Looptroop joints from our 4 albums, and ‘The Rarities’ is a mix of 27 old and new, unreleased and remixed – rare and dope tracks – put together by Embee and hosted by Promoe and Supreme. Make sure to pick them up exclusively on tour – as we go in to festival mode! Watch us make another decade of it!
